      What children are available?

Infants and children up to 18 years of age, of many ethnicities, are available for international adoption. All the children are located in orphanages of other government institutions. There are many reasons why so many children became available for adoption: wars, political turmoil, poverty, illness, death of parents, abandonment, and/or single or unwed mothers with no family support.

      Do I have to travel?

IAll of Adoption Plus, Inc's current international adoption programs require one or both adoptive parents to personally acquire custody of the child in his / her birth country, and to bring their newly adopted child to the U.S. The number of trips and the length of stay varies within programs. For more information, please contact us adoptionplus@yahoo.com.

      How long will it take?

From the time your dossier is complete until you have the child in your home can vary between three (2) and four (4) months. Length of time depends upon the availability of the age and sex of the child desired, how quickly the parents are ready to travel, as well as the adoption process in the country from which you are adopting.

Is it necessary to apply for only one country?

Preferably, Yes. But technically, you can apply for a few programs.
In the home study report, the social worker must indicate where the parents want to adopt from. After the home study is complete, then it is going to have to be translated into the language of the country that the parents are adopting from, and get it authorized. Regarding the fees, if you decide to apply for multiple countries, then you pay our agency fees only once, but there will be additional fees for additional translations of your dossiers. The amount of the additional fees is the legal amount for such translations.

If I want to adopt two unrelated children or a siblings group, do my fees double?

All agency fees are designed for the adoption of one child. This does not mean that the fees automatically double. In each case, the additional fees can be different. Example: Registration fees do not change, you only pay them once. The fees that are affected by the amount of children are the only fees that will be altered. For more information for your particular case, please contact our agency adoptionplus@yahoo.com.

Can the prospective parents have private medical examinations of the children before the adoption is finalized?

Yes, before making the final decision about the adoption, the prospective parents have the right to have their own medical examination done by the doctor of their choice. They can have blood tests, MRI's, X-Rays, and other procedures done.

Can we/must we change the child's name during the adoption?

After the Prospective parents receive their court decision, they will be give the choice whether they want to change the first and last name of the child in the new Birth Certificate.
